Job purpose

The primary purpose of a driver is to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable transportation of passengers or goods.

Duties and responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Operate the vehicle in a manner that is safe, reliable and efficient; 

  2. Chauffeur the designated concerned officials; 

  3. Carry out office errands like processing visa, passport, bank deposits and withdrawals, etc.; 

  4. Observe and comply with all road safety regulations, health and safety regulations, RSTA Acts and RGoB rules and regulations;  

  5. Carry out minor repairs and maintenance of the vehicle on a routine basis; 

  6. Report to the immediate supervisor of any vehicle faults and necessary repairs; 

  7. Maintain the logbook, movement orders, etc. on a daily basis and renew all necessary documents on time; 

  8. Keep the vehicle clean and tidy at all times;  

  9. Should be well behaved, fit for duty and must abstain from consuming alcohol especially during the duty hours. He should refrain from smoking inside the vehicle and in open space when on duty; 

  10. Willing to perform duties even on public holidays including Sundays, subject to urgency of work; 

  11. The driver should help other Estate support staff, like in gardening, loading and unloading, event preparation  and as instructed by the supervisors. 

Qualifications and Experiences 

  1. Must have a minimum of Class VIII pass (Formal Schooling); 

  2. At least 5 years of driving experience;  

  3. Valid approved driving license for light vehicle; 

  4. Knowledge and experience in operating and maintaining the vehicle;  

  5. Ability to follow both written and oral instructions; 

  6. No alcohol, drug or criminal record.

Person Specifications & Attributes 

Additionally, the following attributes are essential: 

  1. Good personal hygiene and pleasant disposition; 

  2. Willingness to work a flexible schedule;  

  3. Consistent attention to travel and geographic details (location, time, weather etc.) 

Age limit 

25 years to 45 Years Old

Documents Required 

  1. Copy of Citizenship ID Card.

  2. Copy of Academic Transcript of Class VIII & School Leaving Certificate.

  3. Copy of Training Certificate from recognized Driving Institute.

  4. Copy of Valid Professional Driving License.

  5. Approved Online Security Clearance.

  6. Copy of Medical Certificate not exceeding 6 months from the date of issue. Any overwriting shall not be accepted unless authenticated by the examining doctor.

  7. Copy of Work Experience Certificate, if any, should be submitted along with the Clearance Certificate.
